I thought quite a bit about writing last night after my time with you, but I wasn't quite sure I could articulate my experience in a way that would describe it fully. I stayed in the zone and slept like a baby. I woke this morning to thoughts of...yeah, Richard is the real deal.
As I shared with you last night, the intention I set for bodywork is to let go, to reset, to find my center; a recharging of my soul. I've received bodywork from many people in the last 10 years as I sought to discover what "worked" for me in this space. The formula for this isn't complex but it is specific and you really nailed it. Clearing the space, a prayer of intention, intuitive touch, the "float", and allowing me to just "be" while you work your magic. I went to a place I haven't been to in a long time. I left recharged, healed, and with my soul full of the love you have for what you do. Not just anyone would be willing to give of themselves in this way for the benefit of another.

Even now, hours later during this sweltering heat, I still have a vibration going. You have moved into a whole other level of massage. Aside from the cool (temparature and ambiance) location, the touches
you used helped hold back the heat of the day: starting with a cool towel and alternating that with a hotone were soothing. Which is just how your touch starts. I felt a wonderful healing connection

I am a performing musician and I have found that I keep my anxiety in my upper chest and shoulders. Richard helps me to release this tension through his expert physical touch as well as his energetic touch. Thank you so much for the massage experience on Saturday. I appreciated the strength and gentleness of your technique, and you seem to know how much pressure to apply for the desired result without going too far. You used several methods that were new to me that got right into the areas that needed to be loosened.
I also liked the words you used that helped me keep focused on the process instead of letting my thoughts take my attention away. The deep breathing, check-in, and other suggestions were certainly beneficial to the overall process. My only feedback about that is that I sometimes found it difficult to keep up with all of the instructions that were given. I think it would help me to have a little more time in between directions, so I can implement one before moving on to the next. I didn't say anything at the time (which you had told me I could before we started) because I wanted to see what it would be like to try to keep up.
The part that was new to me was the energy work, and I am definitely interested in going further with that.You are unique in my experience with massage therapy, and I’m very grateful to the person who recommended you. I’ll be making another appointment soon. Thanks again.

What you did with the forearm was unusually releasing and I am going to try it with my friend Fernando who has arthritic symptoms in his wrists and hands. The smudge smell resonated deeply with my soul taking me somewhere so familiar and deeply comforting. The face washing was touching and the scent brought another level of relaxation. The way you hold and lift my head is so smooth that I can truly let go the responsibility of keeping myself safe. And, I am not sure what was happening the very last few seconds but whatever you were doing, in the very last point of contact something clicked inside of me and I was immediately moved to center in a profound way. A part of me wanted to just lay there another hour and stay in that beautiful centered place. I bow to the divinity in you that brings such beauty into the world.
